Experience Okayama's best pear picking at Ishihara farm, which boasts over 170 years of history.
Pear trees over 150 years old bear fruit.
Visitors can enjoy various varieties of pears, centering on the Atago pear, which is large, fine-grained, and very sweet, and the Ya-Li (duck pear), which is characterized by its mellow, clean aroma and refreshing sweetness.
The area is easily accessible from the Kansai region, including Osaka, Kobe, and Hiroshima, making it ideal for day-trip sightseeing.
There are many experiences that can be enjoyed by the whole family, from adults to children! Interacting with nature is one of the main attractions of Ishihara farm.

Delicate texture

Atago pear
The world's largest pear, which holds a Guinness record. Its delicate and elegant texture and rich sweetness are unimaginable given its size. The flavor is further enhanced with additional ripening.

Ya-Li
The Ishihara farm signature fragrant pear with a long history. It is a rare variety characterized by its elegant sweetness and rich flavor. The flavor and aroma become even more pronounced with additional ripening.

Large, juicy, perfectly
sweet and sour.

Nitaka
Niitaka pears are a representative variety of Okayama autumn pears, with large, fresh, and juicy pears. They have a good balance of sweetness and acidity, and a mellow aroma. They keep well and are popular as gifts. It is also a delicately crunchy pear to enjoy.

We would appreciate early notice for groups as we will prepare for the tasting.
You will not be able to eat until you have paid for the fruit at the direct sales counter. (Tasting is available before fruit picking).
Some customers are left out because the quantity is too large.

The first half of the year, from January to June, is the fruit growing season.
Only dried fruits such as Bizen Otome rice and pears are sold at the direct sales counter.
The direct sales office is basically open all year round.
We will announce on Instagram and Facebook when we will be closed.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking.
If possible, please bring wet wipes, hand towels, and a kappa if it looks like it will rain (September-November).
Fruit picking using the elevator is available from around September.

For customers of nursing homes, please inspect in advance.

Large buses can park up to 4 vehicles, but the maximum number of passengers for fruit picking is 40 to 80.
We accept buses for students, groups for social studies, and groups from overseas, but we do not accept tour buses.
We accept mainly individual visitors who choose Ishihara farm by themselves.
